Normally, to quell a ‘riot’ the staff needs to either have a lot of players, who can cuff all the inmates, or kill them.
My suggested function would add the ability to leave cuffed inmates on the ground, to add realism and allow for better organization during regime changes and riots.
I recognize, that this can be easily abused, however the possibility of cuff abuse is still (In my opinion) better than gun abuse. A limit can also be added to how many prisoners you can leave cuffed(Like in RL, you would have a limited amount of cuffs).
My intention was for them to function like normal inmates(As in: ‘not cuffed’), so other staff can move/release them. (It wouldn’t improve organization if only one person could move them)
So, yes there could be 3 people in cuffs at once, but since anyone can release them, there would be ‘less’ abuse. (Like with false LD’s, it doesn’t take much effort to turn it off)
This isn’t a bad suggestion. Yes, it will be abused, but unlike gun/cuff abuse other officers can actually take steps to repair any damage the abusers cost. (Like simply uncuffing them) This is a good idea, and if abused is seen just Modcall.
another prison game called county jail rp had this feature and it got abused 24/7, if you werent being lined up against a wall to be executed then they were harassing you
