Hello, so what I was thinking is that a group of 2-3 BOG’s will select an FD to undergo a one week trial period to become CAC. During this time, the BOG’s will try to join the same server as the person who got selected and will carefully watch his actions. After a week, they will discuss with the trial member about what they did and if they liked the role Yes or no. If not then the trial period ends and they get back their old rank. If they say yes then the BOG’s will discuss if this person is worthy for CAC(Should take at only 1-2 days) Once they have made their decision, that person who got selected for the trial period will get a DM on Discord saying if they got selected or no.
How this would help:
-Allow FD’s who want CAC to experience it first hand and possibly reconsider becoming one.
-HC can see if this person would be suitable for the rank over choosing them just by great activity and professionalism.
There’s not a lot changing from FD-CAC, mainly just access to the HC team, higher level of hosting permissions, more admin commands and ranking. I’m not sure wether that would be worth the effort.
I think this would be a good idea because most CAC get chosen by being active and/or professional. If FD’s can experience CAC first hand because then BoG can see better if the player is actually suitable for the rank
not a good idea. as mentioned previously, most CAC get chosen by being active.
cac does not grant any huge permissions and should not be considered a rank with trial.
those who get promoted to CAC already knows what the rank entitles
As stated previously this wouldn’t be a good idea. A CAC is chosen one of 3 ways, activity as a FD, departmental promotion, and rank buying. A trial period would be useless because if the user can already be a CAC and has the stats then they would just get promoted and if they don’t have what it takes then they would be demoted. CAC doesn’t have much power but it’s still a little bit more of a responsibility and that is something to think about.
