Ideas for New Updates!

Hi everyone! I have a few ideas for things that could be cool to add to the game.

Bringing Back Medical Staff + Pandemics

PLEASE BRING BACK MEDICAL STAFF! It’s another feature that can add to the realism of the RP game. I hope this is added back. It should be a free team that doesn’t require purchasing Robux/based on your level. Their spawn area can be where the execution chamber used to be, and the tools they would spawn with are:
-MedKit
-Cuffs
-Taser
-Glock 17
-Masks/Glove decals for their avatar
-The old black uniform
-The belt they would carry would have the MedKit and Taser sticking out along with a pair of gloves in the back pocket

Another thing that could be added to make the Medical Staff position useful would be if pandemics/disease outbreaks could occur in game. This could be a drill or a randomly occurring event. If it were a drill, an additional button would be added to the Command Room control board. The game would then only allow Warden+ to activate it, and would only activate if there was at least 1 (one) person on the Medical Staff team. If it were randomly occurring, the game would have some code written in to randomize when an outbreak/pandemic occurred. Same with the drill version, there would have to be at least 1 (one) person on the Medical Staff team for it to happen.

The way pandemics/outbreaks would work is that one to three people will be designated as “patient zero”. This would be irrespective of team, meaning that anyone from criminals to SHR could be it. CORR, ERT, OC, HC, etc. would then have to find every patient zero and quarantine them in the Medical Office (next to Medical Staff spawn point maybe) where they would stay until the three minute timer runs out. The timer starts when the patient zeros are designated. If this time runs out before all of them have been quarantined in the medical office, they become contagious. Anyone they punch will become infected with an unspecified disease that makes you lose 10 health every 30 seconds, becoming slower and your visibility lessening as you get closer and closer to death. Once you die though, it’s just like anything else and you no longer have the disease.

If the whole server becomes infected for two whole seconds, the patient zeros get 100 XP each and an additional 1 XP for however many players they infected. The catch here is that Medical Staff will have the cure in their MedKit, so when they use it on someone they become cured. However, if a Medical Staff player becomes infected, they cannot use the cure until the pandemic/outbreak has concluded. Mind you, this would be like a twice a day per server thing, and would have a cool down of at least two hours, so it’s not like it would completely take over the game play. The way that the pandemic/outbreak would end without the patient zeros winning would be if ALL of them were contained within the Medical Office until everyone was cured. If the pandemic/outbreak were contained before it spread to everyone, all Medical Staff would get 50 XP plus 2 XP per player they healed. Anyone who contained a patient zero would get 20 XP. It would also automatically stop if there weren’t any Medical Staff left in the server.

I think this would be a fun drill/random event that would give meaning to the existence of the Medical Staff team outside of the RP aspect.

Natural Disasters and the Basement

Currently, the basement is just a boarded up wall directly in front of CORR spawn. I actually like the design, and I think it could be used to show that it’s the emergency shelter when there’s a tornado/twister/earthquake.

This would be a drill activated on the control board in the Command Room by Deputy Warden+. There would be three “different” types, but the only difference would be the background sound imitating the disaster. It would essentially be the evacuation drill, but using the basement. Unlike evac, it would also affect criminals, who would have an emergency bunker behind the criminal spawn/base. Everyone would have to go there unless they want to take damage. There would be some in-game debris as the disaster got closer, starting from the city and ending at Yard. If you got hit by the debris, you would take 10 damage.

Once started, the drill would last 10 minutes, with the first three being a prep period where it stays in the city, and the remaining 7 having it be on the move. The “different” types would be like this:
-Tornado: tornado siren blaring and the sky turns green
-Twister: twister siren (if that exists) and the sky turns green as well
-Earthquake: rumbling sounds and the sky turns brown/orange (mimicking dust and stuff)

Could be a fun drill I think.

The City and Its Uses

To my knowledge, the city currently stands as just a bunch of buildings you can’t go inside of with nothing to interact with. Lowkey you can’t do anything with it right now besides drive through it. I think that it has a lot of potential. I have two ideas.

The 911 Operator

This would create a minigame where you could respond to 911 help calls by doing a puzzle/connect-the-line mini game to get XP. For this, you would have to go to the city and enter the tallest building to start the mini game. It would have a cap of 5 players at a time and would only be available to the Cop teams.

Home at the End of the Day

This would give criminals the option to “blend in” with the city population and rob people, or just do the normal criminals that we currently have in the game. There would be a cap of five criminals doing this at any time. For each house they rob without being stopped by the armed homeowners, they would get 10 XP. If criminals got caught, the Cop teams would be alerted to their position for 10 seconds, or they’ll be KOS by the homeowners. It would be a random 50/50 chance. This would allow for the city to become interactive as well as giving something for criminals to do besides raid the prison.

Final Thoughts

I really love this game and it’s pretty much the only RP game I can play without getting bored. I think these things would add to the fun of this game and make it all the more entertaining as both a RP game and a PvP game!

I agree with bringing back the MO team. But all the other suggestions are just not good, it’s a prison game why would we want to have a disaster, there is literally nothing added to roleplaying with that. Same thing for “Outbreak” there is no reason to add it.

Adding medical team is great, but no one would use the city even if a use for it was added. The only three things people really do in this game are grind for ranks, abuse, and shoot up the prison.
