New way to contact mods after punishment?

Hi all.
Earlier today, someone I know was in a situation where he did nothing wrong…at least he thought.
Without getting into too much detail, he was reset. A few minutes later, a message popped up on his screen, saying something along the lines of, “You have been banned for tool abuse.” Luckily, moments before this happened, he had clipped what had happened. In doing so, he discovered the name of a moderator that wrongfully banned him from using his tools. We immediately contacted the mod. No answer. We contacted the mod in the background in the video. They stated that he was banned from tools for a certain amount of time. However, my friend was still confused on why he was banned. When he asked the mod, he gave no answer, other than stating a second time that he was banned from using tools.
I am proposing a clearer way to contact moderators because my friend did not abuse his tools. Although he was banned for a short amount of time, we did not get a clear answer nor any information at all. If a mod wrongfully bans you, there should be an easier way to learn what you did wrong, because my friend still has no idea what he did and may repeat it accidentally without any information. Anyone support this proposition?

Thanks for reading! :grinning:

why are you DMing the mod to figure it out… just appeal in the admin server with the video

He wanted to wait before appealing it to see what he did wrong by talking to the mod.

Falsely punishing is a big deal, def report them to ga management

There is a way to know what you did wrong, as the first reaction to you abusing will be a verbal warning, during wich the mod can usually explain the rules to you in detail. It seems like that warning got skipped there though.

Okay, thank you.

We reported the mod to GA and they said that the mod was allowed to do what he did, even though we still have no clue what my friend did wrong.

maybe he was just abusing his tools after all

If he did, he doesn’t remember it. He did only did one training and a few minutes after this occurred.

This is completely puzzling to me since the warning only ever gets skipped if it’s clear that the abuser knows they are breaking the rules and don’t intend on playing right

hmm odd that warning had to have got skipped for a reason. Who was the moderator?
