I think that this have some errors, like, some users have their names listed 2 times. Per example: EliteDumpling in the topic 15 and 36.

How does a promotion wave actually work? Is it a guaranteed promotion?
Reason for asking is because my name is on the promo wave list.

A promotion wave is basically if many people get promoted at once. If you are on the list, you should have received the new rank.
