This guide is aimed for the newer players of SV (CAO-COMM), but anyone can follow along. This isn’t a set of rules, just general advice. The point of this guide is to prevent players from doing things they aren’t exactly supposed to do in a session.
General Advice
Use PTS to speak when it is active
- The host will usually say something like “PTS is active”. If you need to ask a question, say
PTS
, wait for the host/co-host to say “Granted,” then ask your question.
If you get a strike (S1 or S2)
- Strikes are warnings: S1 (first strike) or S2 (second strike). Don’t repeat the action that caused the strike, or you might be dismissed (kicked from the session).
Address the host / co-host by their roles
- Use their rank when replying (e.g., “Yes, CP”). If they say “(Yes/No), [RANK],” always include their rank in your response.
Don’t be annoying
- Don’t ask for promotions, because that is hinting, and will get you removed from the session. Also, if the host says “No” or “Picking” to you asking to be a helper / co-host, don’t repeatedly ask again and again.
Shifts
When talking on the radio, use your role for the shift
- Example: If you’re assigned as Patrol, say “[PATROL] CB is clear.” Replace “Patrol” with your assigned role (e.g., CAM-OP, CAPTAIN).
Follow all orders given to you by an SI+
- IMPORTANT: Do NOT follow orders that break Roblox TOS or SV rules (e.g., harassment, exploiting).
Report to the SR (Session Room) when instructed
- Don’t stay in the SR the whole shift—active participation is key to promotions!
Trainings
Be reasonable
- Don’t overreact in scenarios (e.g., avoid modcalling for minor actions like an inmate saying “hello”).
Fix gaps
- If someone leaves, fill the gap by moving closer to others. Don’t be shy—they can’t bite you on Roblox!
Be positive!
- At the end, say “Good luck!” instead of criticizing yourself. Most trainings require passing 3/4 phases to earn promotion.
Don’t frisk or kill the “inmate” in scenarios
- Frisking/killing disrupts the scenario. The inmate may lose weapons or respawn at the status.
Don’t say the answer to the question on the radio
- Answers belong in PMs, not the radio! This helps the host manage the training smoothly.
