Weapon/Contraband Gamepass Cooldown

Gun gamepasses are cool and they make escaping easier. I know if I said lets just remove them, that wouldn’t change anything so I am making this post to sort of try and favour both sides of the guards and inmates to balance this.

When you are attacking a officer, they can use lethal force to kill you, the thing is. Killing is very ineffective because:

  1. You just spawn straight back.
  2. You still have everything you had before
  3. No real consequences

I think this could be tackled by adding a cooldown to weapons. This would make killing armed inmates actually worth it and it especially helps when there are riots because its just sometimes impossible when its constant spawning back with weapons.

  • Guards random kill (abuse)

  • Bugs causing you to reset

To tackle these possible problems, I think it would be a good idea to make use of the “wanted” status on inmate. This way, when a inmate has the wanted status and dies, they will have a cooldown but if they don’t have wanted then no cooldown will be attributed.

Overall, this would make the prison so much more balanced and enjoyable for both guards and inmates.
