SVGA Cuff Perks

We are not supposed to have staff cuffs and with staff cuffs we will get fire function… It’s thing for OC or CAC+.

We should have fire function too. People abuse and that’s just a fact.
I am actually going to quote the Company Information and Employee Regulations document.

Continuing the discussion from Company Information & Employee Regulations:

Not having staff cuffs and not having fire functions can actually make it harder for us to do our job “ensuring fair play, adherence to rules, and an enjoyable gaming atmosphere”

Overseer command isn’t even listed… Hm…

I thought that the SV Game Administration already has cuff perms, don’t they? They could cuff any staff member because they have SHR Admin I think…

Nope. Game administrators do not have perms to cuff people on staff teams.

true, if ga can be trusted with shr admin then they can be trusted with teamcuffs or whatever it is called

Exactly my thought process, and it would help us out a lot.

Yes, I totally agree with this, it would allow SVGA to have a much easier life when handling with abusers. Perfect!

By handles abusers we deal with abusers using the moderation guide ( Company In-Game Regulations & Moderation Guidelines - Staff Information - Stateview Forums so it wouldn’t be necessary to have staff cuffs as you wont be punishing the user through staff cuffs.

What do you mean though cause say someone is gun abusing are you going to cuff them punish them for gun abuse then let them go it doesn’t make sense when you could just do the punishment.

That is true but having staff cuffs would help us so we can detain rule breakers while they are breaking the rule (especially people abusing their tools).

I believe they should have staff cuffs but only permitted when in adminduty.

This would be a very useful item.

This, I agree with, as long as they’re in adminduty.

This, however, I disagrre with. You guys follow specific procedures anyways, so what’s the point in having a fire function?

OC has the fire function because their duty is nothing about dealing with abusers. The fire function is a way to temporarily get rid of them, while they inform SA or GA.

IF SVGA gets staff cuffs, the fire functionality would be added along with that, as the permissions for staff cuffs that OC and CAC+ have are automatically coded into that. There isn’t a way around this UNLESS the developers completely add another set of cuffs for people in SVGA, which is completely stupid. I do want staff cuffs, but I don’t want to have the developers remake another set of cuffs.

Let me rephrase that: SVGA doesn’t need the fire function. Not saying they shouldn’t have it, I’m saying there would be no point.

Staff cuffs have the fire function by default, so it’s easier to have them have it.

I agree with this, maybe SA should get the ability to fire, while GA just gets regular staff cuffs. I’m pretty sure Basic Admin Essentials isn’t that customizable, but maybe there is a way to do this?

Staff cuffs are not granted through BAE 2.0. They’re granted through a script that the developers made that gathers the tool (Handcuffs) from ServerStorage or ReplicatedStorage, clones it, then gives it to a user on join/team switch IF their rank in game is set to CAC+, or are OC.

In order for SVGA to gather staff cuffs, a new team would have to be created, and whenever someone runs the adminduty command, they get teamed to the admin team and get staff cuffs.

This could be possible, but two sets of staff cuffs would have to be made, and the code for them would have to change. For GA, the code would be the same as regular staff cuffs, minus the part of the script for firing. For SA+, the staff cuffs would be the same.

Now, I’m not saying it’s impossible, but just highly improbable as the developers would have to put in extra work for something that only certain people would use.

Hope this helps,

Staff cuffs have the fire function by default and it’s not easily removable.

Well, High command and OC can cuff people on staff and fire people although they cannot reduce or remove an inmate from max none of our cuffs can they would have to wait for their timer to end.
